The Art Deco period has left us with some magnificent architectural, art and industrial masterpieces. Without a doubt, the BMW R 7 is one of them. Manufactured in 1934 by engineer Alfred Böning R 7 was only ever a prototype – this futuristic bike was ahead of its time and, sadly, never went into production. The R 7 is one of the most important, innovative and visually stunning motorcycles ever produced. In 2005 a two year restoration took place at BMW with the expertise in the hands of in house master restorers. This Art Deco treasure will not just be a static display in the BMW Museum, hope, the R 7 will be seen on the roads at classic events throughout Europe.

This is TYPOART's tribute to Ettore Arco Isidoro Bugatti, Italian-born French automobile designer and manufacturer, elder son of Carlo Bugatti. Ettore Bugatti was born into an artistic family – his father, brother, aunt, grandfather were great artists. To a Bugatti owner who complained that his car was difficult to start on cold mornings, Ettore Bugatti is said to have retorted, "Sir! If you can afford a Type 35, you can surely afford a heated garage!” :)
